Herald Property Awards 2014

Winning awards such as the Herald Property Awards always brings a pleasant end to a project. Its a good feeling to know that this work is considered of a high standard by the judges. However at Crammond, we consider the award is not only for the finished product but for the process that we engage our clients to provide the very best home they could possibly dream of.

These awards represent the culmination of many years hard work; working closely with clients and our design team at bobby halliday architects to find a method that brings together the feel of bespoke, individually tailored homes within our developments.

We think that Crammond's developer model is unique, and to return from this years awards with 2 wins and a commendation tells us that our hands on, Client-intensive approach has and does work, especially considering the size and reputation of the other nominees.

Crammond Select Homes has quietly and diligently crafted homes for over 20 years with little advertising or fanfare. It is about the Client and their home - word of mouth is all important to us. We have passed through the last few, difficult years not by shouting our name from the rooftops, but by making sure those that have bought a home from us do that for us!

We entered three categories this year, the nature and scope of which could not be more varied. “Best Family Home”…. Crammond created a new build home that worked contemporary 21st century living and wrapped it in an architecture that blended seamlessly into its rural environment.

“Best Conversion” demonstrated Crammonds skill in working with existing buildings and brought a derelict farmhouse not only back from dereliction, but gave it a life projected far into this century.

The real reward for Crammond was the “development of the year”. For our small company to stand equally with the large longstanding developers in Scotland is no mean feat and suggests our working ethos does work when others have considered it not possible. Not only is it possible but we come these difficult years at the top of our game and the results of last Thursday stand testament to that.

It is easy to consider award ceremonies as just an excuse for a good night out. But on Thursday we brought the people who bought houses from us and who turned them into their homes. These people make the awards happen and their input cannot be underestimated.

We returned from Thursday night feeling a sense of high value when comparing ourselves with the bigger developer picture in Scotland. But not only that, a justification of our own personal feeling that what feels right, is right.

These awards let us know we have been doing the right thing.

Winner of Best Renovation Project 2012, Herald Property Awards for Scotland.

We are delighted to announce we have won Best Renovation Award for the Coach House Conversion, Dunblane at the prestigious Herald Property Awards, one of the main events in the house building calendar.

The Awards were held at the Grande Plaza Hotel in Glasgow on Thursday13th September and represent the best of Scotlands house builders, designers and specialists. The award sought to recognise an individual new build with outstanding environmental credentials, a conversion to fit a specific need or a sympathetic restoration project using traditional or modern skills – this award sought to highlight projects which stand out and addressed unique needs.

Crammond are proud to have won an award at the Herald Property Awards every year for the last 3 consecutive years, now totalling an impressive 3 Awards and 1 commendation, with being shortlisted in many of the other categories throughout the years.
